Located in Louisa, Virginia, Project Perry has a current parrot population of well over 200. Project Perry/The Central Virginia Parrot Sanctuary is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and sanctuary of parrots living in captivity. Its primary mission is to provide parrot residents with exceptional natural environments where they can enjoy the freedom of flight, as well as socialization with other parrots. Excellent care is provided by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. Parrots and other exotic birds represent the largest population of captive wildlife in the U.S., and the organization works to provide sanctuary for them, as well as outreach and education for the general public.
