FLIGHT CLUB FOUNDATION

This organization headquartered in Seattle, sponsors an invitation-only club, where people gather to socialize their parrots and help them learn flight skills. The organization was created by Debbie Goodrich, who has been a professional bird trainer, educator and curator of birds since 1996, and serves as the Flight Club Foundation’s President. The organization also sponsors a conference called “The Seattle Parrot Expo” which focuses on educational entertainment for people with a passion for parrots, and seeks to develop a passion for parrots in others. The Expo also aims to include young children so that they might understand the complexities of parrot care. The Expo provides the Flight Club Foundation with an opportunity to raise money and also to widen its circle of parrot owner participants.
